CNC Chucking
CNC chucking is the process of turning and/or milling an existing part (blank) to produce a
finished product, also known as secondary operations. Jamison Industries has 2 automatic
chucking centers that can convey a blank part "in" and a finished part "out" of the machine.
These automatic machines have the ability to machine blanks up to 1.5 pounds and
practically any shape. As long as the "in" conveyor remains stocked, the machine is
producing product. This allows one person to operate multiple machines and the
loading/unloading of the product is a "fixed" time. These features allow a cost savings over
manually handling the part one at a time. For larger blanks, we have 1 manual chucking
center that can accommodate blanks up to 11.8" in diameter and 17" long. This allows us
the ability to handle a variety of sized blanks. Give us an opportunity to quote your project.
